About Amoy Canning

History

Amoy Canning was founded in 1908 in Amoy (Xiamen), China, producing home-made recipes for soya sauce. It set up a canning factory in 1913. A factory was established in Hong Kong in 1929, and the head office relocated there in 1938.

During and immediately after the Second World War, Amoy Canning helped in the British war effort by donating canned food.

Amoy Canning then expanded and started a factory in Singapore in 1951 and Malaysia in 1955.
